I'm kind of spent talking about this today so I'll just kind of summarize. I found out today that my baby only has a 2 vessel umbilical cord or a Single Umbilical Artery. Normally there should be 2 arteries and a vein. What this can mean is that there is an increased risk for congenital defects like down syndrome and cleft pallet and such. The kidneys are also showing up bright on the ultrasound which is also not good and can be an indicator of malformed organs. We go in on the 30th for an echo cardiogram to make sure the heart is ok.

It could also be nothing but a fluke and there is actually a 2/3rds chance that it is indeed nothing. I'm still worried and stressing out over it. If you could just send some healing vibes or think some good thoughts for us I'd appreciate it.
