A Certain Kind Of Treasure

I'm not sure how to describe this one other than it is absolutely beautiful and inspiring. It's a kid's book ( not wee kid more like aimed at 8 on up though it is a perfect read for ANYBODY) and.....
How do I describe it?

Plot?
It's more of an adventure in reading, being inspired and learning than it is really plot focused.
Your main character is a little boy ( maybe about 12) who through rainy day circumstances and some harsh words with friends discovers a little old lady just up the way. It's what he learns from her that makes this book so amazing.
