What is Topic Of The Week?
Topic of the Week is a contest that select threads on which we would like the community to commit to as a group and then comment/discuss on them during the course of the selected week. Any listed topic (thread) is eligible for the Topic of the Week selection.
What determines a Topic Of The Week?
Topic Of The Week is based on a simple nomination system. Throughout the selected forums, members with adequate permissions can nominate their favorite topic by clicking on the award nomination button below the post.
The topics with the most nominations during the course of the week are displayed on this thread using the poll feature. At the end of the week, the first three topics with the most nominations are the award winners of the contest.
I liked the Reiki Angels thread--it wasn't the longest, but it was a really informative discussion (brief though it was).
Truth is, it'll be hard to narrow them down. Celtic Spider posts a lot of informative (and extraordinarily hilarious) threads. I don't always respond, simply because I don't feel I have anything meaningful to add or her deeper musings give me a bunch of stuff to chew on.
Normally I would be all about collectin' trophies, however I know I post n post n post a lot....almost really to a point where I posted myself out of competition really.
I would nominate anyone except me (unless you were THAT desperate for material) simply because it's a given that out of everything I've thrown up on the boards, that something would be useful ( and that na ego....that is just numbers.....if someone puts a billion posts up then it would only be logical to conclude that at leas one post would be useful.....that sorta thing).
So I r invisibles to this contest ( unless dragged up against my will).
I am flattered though that my ramblings are thought of as inspiring or informative. That is what keeps me chattering and smattering the boards with stuffies.
