I'm guessing not, since this is the first thread, but if you are out there I'd love to know a bit more about it.
I've tried to ascertain the basic idea (from other forums and whatnot) and the most I got was that if you thought you understood it you were wrong. Apparently it's the idea of chaos being the balance, and the more chaotic something was, the more balanced it was.
The one thing I DID learn, however, is *never* argue politics with a Discordian...it gets way too confusing. And ugly.
Holy wowzers.....if that is the working theory then I am the Penultimate example of Balance.
Of course that was never really being in question as I AM The Standard.........
My introduction to Discordianism was largely from lurking in the Usenet newsgroup alt.religion.kibology, which was then reinforced through the novels of Robert Anton Wilson, followed by the Principia Discordia itself. I do not identify as a Discordian (we discordians must stick apart) but I can sympathize with notion that one should not take one's religion so seriously that one becomes an insufferable prick towards those who believe differently.
