What next?
Inverted ( or Reversed) Cards. These are the puppies you pull and they are upside down.
Oh no! Wah! That would be so negative! Right?
Nope.
An inverted card is just the weakened ( tweaked) version of the card's original meaning. For instance if I drew the Major Arcana Death Card it would mean something was coming to an end soon. Good news is that something would be beginning also ( think "one door closes so another door may open").
So what could Death inverted mean? One way to look at Death inverted would be stagnation. Refusing to let go of something to move on.
This is just one card and one example. My point here is that inverted cards are just as important as the usual right side uppers and spotting inverts can give you an idea of how much opposition is in a reading.
Believe it or not you can end up with almost an entire reading inverted. Even after you have checked your cards to make sure they are right side up. In that case pay attention to the card that is right side up. It's letting you know what is in harmony ( strong) with what the situation is.
