Ruby, Diamond or Emerald:
I have found that dragons definitely have a hierarchy of their own. Dragons bearing any of these three gems (usually on their foreheads) are considered Rulers of their clan and much honor should be given to them.
These are the Dragon Lairds I mentioned previously. These dragons are usually the bearers of prophetic dreams and messages. So if you are in astral, or in dreamtime, and see a dragon coming toward you, check out its forehead.
Ruby Dragons: fire and boldness. Protection. Normally a messenger warning of changes in your life. Can assist you in any issues dealing with relationships and movement.
Diamond Dragons: these are the seers. They bring messages of prophecy. If you encounter one in dreamtime it would be a good idea to record exactly what you were told upon awakening.
Emerald Dragons: Healing and loving peace. These dragons are the healers. They bring power and messages for healing. Very useful in reiki work and long distance healing.
