I hail from the lovely town of Lynnwood, WA. I am in a polyamorous relationship; many of my friends in the poly community identify themselves as pagans.
Just to throw out a question for discussion, the word "pagan" includes many different paths; certainly Wicca (witchcraft) is popular enough that many use the word "pagan" as a synonym.
What are some of the pagan paths that TNP members follow?
That's a common misconception that people come here thinking. It is unfortunate, but one of the reasons we are here is to better educate folks in this particular subject.
The quick and dirty is that the word "pagan" is used to denote any of the non-
(Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc). With this short and functional definition you can see by way of logic that while Wicca falls under the "Pagan Umbrella", just because you self-identify as a pagan does not mean you are an Wiccan. By the same token, simply because you self-identify as a "witch" does not a Wiccan make either.
Wicca is a sub-sect of Witchcraft, Witchcraft is a sub-sect of paganism. Pagans are not *just* witches and Wiccans.
I personally identify myself as a pagan, this means that I pull my belief and moral / ethics structures and teachings from MANY sources under the pagan umbrella. However, if I were to identify myself as Wiccan, then I have just informed you that, while I am still a pagan, I follow a very distinct pantheon and belief set.
I'm a Signpost. LOL! I dunno what you would call me.
I do a lot of things and studied Wicca for many many years ( I am a very unmagical Wiccan and Witch though).
I work actively with Animal Magic, dreams and well....just being The Standard !
At any rate I know we have Witches, Wiccans, Druids, Celtic Traditionalists, here as well as the run of the mill non labeled solitary ecclectic practitioners of general paganism and/or magic.
