Hey all, I know I haven't been around much so here's what's been up:
My husband lost his job and we're kind of floundering and on the same day he lost his job we found out that our youngest daughter Lucy, has cysts on her kidneys. I've kind of been a mess since then.
Anyway, that's what's been up. Hope everyone is doing well here.
sorry to hear that. stay strong. Remember what is important. You and your family. Laugh and smile those are the two best medicines you can have. Plus, as much as it may suck right now, things happen for a reason and usually for the best. (whether it's the family grows closer and stronger as a unit. Or there is a better job opportunity out there.)
Financial advise...if you can go extremely lean and change your lifestyle. You can survive the loss of income. Don't worry about the health care expenses, you probably can get some assistance from the county, hospital etc etc etc.
Thanks everyone. Lucy has an appointment Thursday with a Nephrology specialist. No clue what they will do or what we might learn.
I have learned that unemployment makes you jump through hoops to get paid , but thankfully we saved a bit from our tax return and we should be ok for a while. We don't have a lot of debt and what we do have we can manage ok for now
