We seem to be seeing an increase of this sort of behaviour in the UK. I blame the nanny PC state myself.
Children arent being taught right from wrong and there are several reasons why:
Kids having kids, they dont know any better.
Fear of retribution but its messed up because its not the kids who are afraid they know the law usually cant touch them and if it does its a joke, but its the
parents who are afraid of goody too shoes social services who just cant seem to get it right. They either do nothing such as the tragic case of baby P or do too much such as the case of the obese parents having thier children taken away from them for being fat.
I'm not a fan of spanking but it has its place, it teachs consequence as long as its not abused.
I'm a big believer in personal responsibility my girls know they do something wrong it has a consequence, whether it be time out step, tidying their room or usually, missing out on a treat or for a big thing involving tantrums/screaming/fighting they get put in the garden (sounds daft they love playing in the garden but put them there as a punishment and its a while new ball game)
Compassion is something else that seems to be missing in many kids lives.
Some say movies and video games have desensitized kids to violence and
replaced parenting so it's no surprise kids have no morals.
We've dropped lucky because the school our girls go too are big on the positive aspects of bringing kids up not just the academic, theres a great poster by the entrance I'll take a picture next week when they go back and post it.
Thats the most Ive said on anything so far so........
