Yup I've found a house... with luck in a year the owner will be willing to sell it to me... But this is the first time I'm going to have a good week with the keys before I start moving stuff in. So I want to do a though cleansing/blessing. I don't have very many ideas of what to do yet. I should have the keys before Yule, so maybe I'll find a way to mix the two activities... So I just wanted to come and ask you all's opinion.... any ideas are welcome!

Any point that can be an exit or entry point needs protection.

Doors and Windows are obvious.

Don't forget the fire place.

Range hoods and bathroom vents also come to mind.

Drains ... kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, etc.

Electical outlets

Phone outlets

Cable outlets

Mirrors!

Radios (Gee, what are those things?)

Vents for airconditioning and heat

Dont forget the basement and the attic if you have them.


When I do a complete home protection I will first go through the house announcing what I am doing and offer anything in it a chance to get out. Next I cast a full circle and expand it to surround the entire house.

Once the full circle is in place to the boundaries of the property (or the edges of the apartment) then I will do protection around the outside of the house. I grab my 10 gallon holy water sprayer, mix up 10 gallons of holy water, bless and energize and go out and lay down circles around the house. I have a 175 foot by 100 foot lot. Forget some rinky dink little bowl of holy water ... it usually takes 2 sprayers full to completely go around the outside of the house. I try to make sure to hit 7 circles around the house.

After the outside is done then the inside.

I start in the room with the most frequently used door (not necessarily the front door) and work through the house clockwise.

Each room is treated as an individual unit. Each wall gets a proction AND the ceiling AND the floor in a clockwise fashion. Then I hit the doors and the windows. I do each individual pane, each sash as a whole and the entire window. If it is a double window then each pane, each sash, each half and the entire window. As I am going clockwise I get the vents and the plugs and the outlets and the fireplaces and so forth.

During the proection I will cast a beam of energy (silver, blue, gold or purple) around the object. So if it is a wall then I will start in the lower left corner, go up, over, down, back across. Next comes an inscribed pentagram on the surface. As I am doing this I am chanting a phrase to myself, vibrating it internally or speaking it out loud, I use for my protection focus ...

The protection focus I use is based on the idea
"All harmful, evil, negative energies are now and forever barred from entering this area and may only exit."

Once a room is done the entire room get a protection and I create a drain tube that runs down to the center of the earth. The drain tube ties into a central drain for the entire house. Each drain is protected so that no negativity can enter the house through it.

If the house is multiple level then I go up or down as I hit the stairwell when going clockwise through the house. If the stair is in a room then I move up or down and do that level and then pick up the room on the way back down/up.

If the house has multiple levels when a level gets completed it gets a large protection over it.

When the entire house is done a final protection is done over the entire house.


Now, to be completely thorough I will go through the process 7 times calluning upon each of the 4 base elements, spirit, God and Goddess.

Depending on the size of the house the process can take days and is extremely draining.

Also - Don't forget places like dryer vents, normal house vents, fireplaces, tv/internet connections, basically any place that leaves a gap in the physical to get from the outside to the inside (even cracks in the walls, or connection points where the roof connects to the rest of the house.)
