Life has gone from absolutely depressing and boring to full speed ahead, Captain!
Adamslaw and I have been renovating our home. We started with our son, Max's room. So far he has a new hard wood floor and Adamslaw just finished building the first part of his new bed.
We are going to do a built-in bench under the window. The doorway next to the window goes into our daughter's room, which Adamslaw filled in with drywall today (he's so talented).
We were surprised with a LOT of free tiles, so we tiled the dining room, then built a new kitchen sub-floor and tiled it. We also bought a new refrigerator (love it).
Yesterday I bought a new bathroom sink. We haven't had one in the bathroom for about 3 years (long story).
We also got a new couch a little while ago! That was one of the BEST decisions we've ever made.

We've accomplished a lot already! We have a long list of projects that will take us through next summer (at least). It is a lot of fun seeing our ideas come to life. Below are some of our upcoming plans for the house...
Bathroom
Trim/moulding, re-paint, curtain for window, new storage over the toilet, new shower/bathtub, custom cabinet next to sink.
Max's Room
Built-in bench under window, custom cabinet and shelves, bottom portion of the custom bed to create additional shelves as well as a cozy reading nook, paint, trim/moulding, wall and door to separate from extra bedroom.
Heaven's Room
Remove third window so we can extend hallway all the way down and separate her room from our room, install new door, extend heat duct work into her new room, new ceiling, trim/moulding, paint, custom cabinet with square cubbies for toys/storage.
Our Room
Clean it, paint, open up storage areas that are closed off, build cabinets for under bed, custom headboard, vanity area, new couch/loveseat/oversized chair, custom tv cabinet, replace ceiling lights with chandeliers.
We have more stuff we want to do, but this is what is actually on the to-do list.
Since you held on this long, here's an adorable picture of my daughter enjoying the Christmas tree...
