I've been offline for a few days due to illness....and I have to leave the house in 30 minutes for an EXTREMELY important court date.

My ex is being held (finally!) in contempt of court today (after a very long 8 year battle). I am an absolute nervous wreck right now. Seems like everytime he was gonna be held to his responsibilties, the law would fail me again.

This time should be different though. I have an awesome lawyer (a really tough bitch who kinda scares me but it's cool she's MY attorney).

Please send me any type of justice energy you can spare. I need everything I can get, cause this is the Big One. 8 years and counting, and I'm hoping this'll be the end of it.

You have all my good energy on your side! Injustice is my biggest pet peeve. I can't STAND to see the badguy win...unless its a movie and he's a hot vampire or paranormal thing...because I'm weird like that.

All my love and hope for you... I'll be praying that you get what you need and he gets what he deserves.

Well, can't say I'm all that surprised.....

The total amount of his arrearage is $8031.00 and some change. He threw the sympathy card, but it was kinda negated by the fact that he made over $100,000.00 last year, but wouldn't help pay his portion of my kids' medical bills (although he was kind enough to give me a bad check for $300.00).

He has 15 days to pony up $2500.00. If he doesn't, he will go to jail for 15 days.

Then they lowered his child support payments. They factored in extra $$ for arrearage payments, but by that payment schedule it'll take him roughly 2 1/2 years to be current. Awesome.

Oh well. I'm sure (if the past is any indication), that I will be back in the court again within a year. Same ole, same ole.

Thanks again, everyone. It's been one heck of a day, and I'm totally exhausted. I'll see everyone tomorrow.
