So I picked up a new hobby making chainmail! So far I am having a blast. I've made a few small things and am waiting on a new supply to get here so I can do some bigger projects.
Is anyone else in to this? Want to swap ideas or give me a few pointers?
Xy, how have you been? I think it's great to have a new hobby and wow chainmail i think is great and am sure not an easy one to master. I to picked up a new hobby, in the time past. Not as grant as you Xy, but none the less it was something i always wanted to take on,.....spinning,.....and I love it. Since I am a jack of all trades it was just fitting for myself to take up spinning since i do knitting and chrochet,......not sure of the english spelling,.........but it's done with the hook,..hehe,...ya'lls get the point eh,...... Anyways Xy's my hat off to you to take up such a grant hobby and good luck to ya.

I tried spinning a long time ago and was decent at it but it didn't really hold my interest. I love to sew but I pretty much suck at it. It's one of those things that I feel like I aught to know how to do but for whatever reason can't you know? SO yeah, I'm a little jealous .
This is one my husband told me I should sell. That made me pretty proud. I guess we'll see if I have a future in this or not after all

Have you any ren fairs near you,....that would be really cool to get into at the fair,..peeps would pay good $$ to have such a graftsmen at hand,......I can't get over it,..it looks soooooooooooooo good,....

Unfortunately I have no real ren faires around where I live but I sell to roleplayers when I have something they like... Unfortunately I lost my tools so I cant work right now but if you keep it up you can become faster ar making things and make them as good as when you started...

I knew I couldn't be the only one Right now I'm just playing around with stuff. I think I would really like to get more serious about it but I'm still so new I that I have a LOT to learn. I'd hate to spend all that money on silver just for learning .
I wish I knew someone near me who did this so I could observe or something. Well at least I can bug ya if I have a question *beam*
No real out-there hobbies to speak of but I would love to have my own pair of gauntlets. Like crafted especially for me and such, my own design.
I would also love to learn how to craft REAL swords. I don't mean display swords, but real weapons. And to all those who think traditional swords should be heavy you are wrong, because swords were not made to be cumbersome, but to move swiftly... considering they were intruments of death.
I would like a real-life version of a sword I designed for a story of mine , won't happen though.
Anyways awesome chainmail, would love some of that myself!
