Default Rose Beads

Rose Beads
Place finely chopped scented red and pink rose petals in a saucepan -- a rusty one will give a deep rich color. Barely cover with water and heat for 1 hour but keep below boiling point. Cool for 24 hours. Repeat four times. Damp the hands with rosewater, roll the pulp into beads, pressing hard, and then roll in powdered spices ( cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg ). Thread with a darning needle onto thick thread and dry in a warm place. Originally, rosaries were made with 165 rose petal beads.
