People think Meditation is easy and if you're anything like me its not! I have a mind that wanders, can't sit or lay still, restless...never ready to just calm down until I'm ready to sleep.
However, this is a meditation, elemental visualization that really works for me...or has so far.
This can be used for...
- Burning Negative energy
- Cleansing of the body
- Working off Aggression
- Simple Meditation
I usually do this laying down and I don't suggest wearing heavy clothes or a blanket for this...as I've burned myself from beneath sheets doing it! (Meaning I got too hot)
You're laying down and its silent minus the optional background instrumental music you've selected to help you focus.
Breathe in and breathe out. There is no need to hold it in, count, or even rush...just breathe with the deepest apart of your lungs. To do this you must breathe from your abdomen. Your shoulders should not move or rise, and your chest will only rise to inflate but not as much as your stomach will.
Soon your breathing will slow and you need to begin visualizing your feet as roots. Your roots are brown or black...and they go into the earth. The deeper these roots reach, the deeper you're going into yourself as the earth will be representative of your life, your past and current. In the inner most part of the earth is your deepest negativity, fears, issues etc... Near the surface are the more mundane, simple, not so big issues.
You will decide what you are willing to burn away and what you aren't! This is a completely personal meditation that YOU guide!
Visualize what you want to purge yourself of being soaked into these roots (bottom of your feet) and flowing through your trunk (legs) and into a cavern of fire (pelvic, bottom abdominal). Here you will allow the fire to burn away the negativity leaving behind only fertile ash and the positive lessons you've gained from the experience or positive things that came from the negative.
From here these ashes will move to your stomach and chest into water..an ocean, lake or little cave with a puddle...up to you. Whatever works best for you. These ashes are being cleansed once more through the water and even cooled off from the flames. Whatever else you can take from these ashes that is positive will be left behind...the rest is going to move into your throat and as you breath out, you are breathing out the negative, the toxic, the horrible..the whatever you don't want.
You are going through all 4 elements to purge yourself of what you don't want to remain.
