been really busy, but now settling into my winter 'cave' and renewing my studies. Have enjoyed many of the postings (FD) and have followed up on many leads into the 'American Pagan' traditions that we have encountered. My newest endever, however, has been learning a lot more about my Mormon neighbors. Most seem to be okay with having a druid in their midsts. Some are all but offended, however we have made great progress in the discussion rather than debating beliefs.

Many times I have discussed the issue, and issues, of faith. My faith and others faiths. We have discussed personal feelings and meanings of the word faith, religion, philosophy... and the various ways and means of them. And all these times I remember a single line in a song by Paul Simon ( 'Proof'), 'faith is an island in the setting sun, proof is the bottom line for everyone.'
Faith is confidence, belief, a moral and ethical compass pointing in the direction one wishes to live....
