The Noble Pagan Forums - where does one find?

I am at a point in my reading that i would like to aquire some "tools" gems, herbs, etc. Much of what i read has said to let these items pick you but i have no idea where to look localy. I have found many random places on the web that sells these items both alone and in sets but to me ordering off the web isnt giving much of a chance for anything to stand out. I figured being the true rookie that maybe y'all would have some insight in this department and any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

As far as herbs go I'd pick up a variety of seeds and plant them in early spring, allowing them to grow throughout the summer. Its not only cheaper this way but you can make a connection with the earth as well. I find that gardening is an excellent spiritual detox for me as well as grounding. The smell of dirt, freshly cut grass and all that jazz (though I'm allergic to spring...so I pop a few Benadrill before anything!)

Gems: These and animals are CS specialty! However my suggestion (or so I feel that I should say to you) is to look some up and see which you're attracted to. Then go to a store near by and just browse the stones. Don't be afraid to touch, and get a feel for them. For some reason I'm seeing smoke quartz and fluorite

Tools, in my experience, are a little more tricky. I'm actually making my own knife out of buck antler, resin and leather. I'll also be using another piece of buck antler to make a healing feather handle. Mirrors have also become a tool for me that picked me during my teenage years, as well as (when they call to be read) tarot. Otherwise my 'tools' are more personal such as empathy and medium.

Don't buy tools that you plan to use in ritual/spiritual practice just because a book says to or because they are pretty. Browse, look around...sometimes they are passed down to you.

Thanks Macha Cloud gave both Sara and i athames which really rocks. I like the idea of growing my own but will really have to wait for spring as i have 2 feet of snow on the ground .

I so badly want some snow here. If its going to be in the teens (degree's that is), it might as well give us some wintery precipitation to go with it

you can have the snow...got about 2.5 feet now and the cold...you can have it all. =P

don't get me wrong, the snow is pretty and all...it's gonna be a hard winter.

They are like THE biggest information site on what you can find ( churches, groups, shops, practitioners, classes, etc) and where.
On the left hand side bar just click the information about which state you live in. then it brings you to that state's home page.
On the left side bar you will see things listed ( like I mentioned).
Click what you are interested in ( in this case say shops). And that brings you to another page with listed info.
Ta da!

You may na find anything directly in your neck of the woods, however I am sure there has to be at least one or two places in your state right?
Also make sure to call the shop before you take a field trip. Some times some of those places go under, and yet the owners did na take their names off the resource list.

Ahem....
May I humbly suggest WASHINGTON STATE ( THE most awesome state yah!!).
There are 4 shops in my town. 1 is just down the hill from me. Two are only about 10 minutes away and the last one a quick 20 minute jaunt from my house.
And that is just MY neck of the woods.

Dark my friend! That was na a documentary. That was a terrible shroom induced program from an ill gotten dream that has nothing to do with my beautiful and vampireless ( might I add also werewolfless too) state.

Unfortunately the fact that we are without vampires and werewolves seems to dissapoint and confuse a large portion of the populace......
