So my bubby has a buddy who needs to get rid of his ferret. Friend B was supposed to take it however friend B is in a "101 ways to let everyone down" kind of rut so last my bubby comes home with Smokey the ferret.
So why is "stretch bunny" part of the title here?
Well we have to intro Smokey to the rest of the animals here ( most of the cats are oblivious thankfully) and the most curious one is Ems ( my pitbull mix). We are hoping she gets used to Smokey in a "that is NOT a snack" kind of way ( thankfully the lanky furball has a ball he can roll around in around the house).
She seems to be torn between wanting to care for it or eat it.
We are trying to convince her Smokey is family and not a bunny snack ( she ate a wild bunny once as the school down the way is overrun with the little lagamorphs).
Hence "stretch bunny".
So yes....my zoo just increased by four more paws.....while this is supposed to be a "temporary" housing situation for Smokey....my husband has been talking about wanting a ferret for sometime ( which I would na mind....I just do na know how feasible it would be).....so I am pretty sure this is a "temp to perm" position for Mr. Stretchbunny.......
I'll post pics soon.
