Hey folks!
I thought I would post a quickie news posting on the current goings on within
TNP. On this I have good news and bad news.
So the bad news first.
Due to irreconcilable differences of opinions (read: I won't tolerate someone pushing their morality on me or my users) we had to let one of our staff members go. We wish her well in any of her future endeavors, and hope that perhaps one day we may be able to better see eye-to-eye with our opinions on how a community should be run.
Now the good news.
I think we're about 80% finished with the upgrades to the backend coding of the site and are almost ready to start offering the services we used to. I still have a lot of work to do in that regard, but we are moving forward with our plans.
First of which is that we will be putting out a New Moon Newsletter that will encompass current news on
TNP, articles, and local events, among other things. The staff are working very hard to make sure that the inaugural Newsletter is published not only on time, but with good, informative knowledge as well.
Secondly, we've begun construction on our newest area of the site: The Library. This area will be dedicated solely to un-published manuscripts, research papers and other hard to find study materials for those that are interested. Within the library you will find PDF files of some of the most ancient texts that we can get our hands on, a database of herbs that will contain not only the common information, but also the pagan names (eye of newt) as well along with their uses and abilities. We will have a section solely dedicated to the pantheon deities that will be fully searchable and you can also add to the databases yourself.
Also we're adding a new area for folks called "Ask Spooder". She's been bugging the hell out of me to finish her area up so that she can start giving advise (cus that's what she does ...) to those that ask. Ask Spooder for an explanation if you need one for this.
We've finalized our privacy statement and our terms of service, so please read over them and let us know if you see any issues.
As always we are looking for potential dedicated staff members, so if you have the drive necessary to help run
TNP, provide content for her (article submissions etc) or in general just want to help keep the place tidy, drop me a line and we'll talk.
