I told him trees, not sure if he believes me. Trees help ground me, sometimes too much. (This is one thing that I think could help him. I personally haven't tried anything else yet as far as grounding. I need to let him figure out what works best for him.)
Honestly, any suggestions would be helpful from outside point of view. He drives me crazy with his ramped up crazed energy/emotions at times. He needs to learn to release them slowly and/or learn not to let them stew until they get out of hand and he wigs-out because he has so much energy that is bursting at the seems. (like a kid on a sugar high, bouncing off the walls)

Grounding is an exercise in relaxing, focusing and connecting all at once and with you I see busy hands as a way to sloooooow down. Connect. Focus.
I get Wood. That was why I was asking about such projects. If they na what you into perhaps now a good time to pick up a new hobby? Or play with clay?

I used to build model planes too as a nipper. Since finding an old box of them in the attic and discovering alcohol and fireworks I've found out that plastic Lancaster Merlin engines work much better when replaced with rocket engines.
Light the blue touch paper and stand back, preferably away from houses....
