You are probably wondering what is bringing this post up.
I'm watching a couple of kids this weekend. One is 14 ( great playmate for my almost 14 year old) and a 4 year old.
So the teens are on a "ghost hunting" kick. Seriously cute ( I dealt with this for several days recently when another teen was added into the mix

). My son is totally convinced that there are evil ghosts in his room ( I just don't think he likes the dark personally).
We do get some mild activity in this house ( built in 1915 I suppose that makes sense) however I feel it is transient activity ( nothing actually "living " here). Well you know how kids are......fertile imaginations and what nots. So the teens have been "investigating" my son's room and the basement ( they SWEAR there is something down there......I do to....like spiders, mice and occassionally 'possums).
Today they've been watching ghosty vids and pics and the like. Totally cracking me up. They wanted to take the ( EXPENSIVE) digicam into the basement. Um no. However our guest has a MP3 player that records sound so that and a flashlight was all the equipment they were decked out with ( unless you count her tarot deck or the makeshift ouija board I made them....which according to it we have 8.5 spirits in the house......

...point 5?)
So the rant?
Well they remind me of the teen version of those ghosty shows ( TAPS, Ghost Adventures, Ghost Finders whatever). And what ALWAYS gets me is:
Why does it have to be at night?
Why do ALL the lights have to be turned out?
It's almost like these peeps believe that dead heads can't come out in broad day light or activity is only a nocturnal occurrence. Funny, seeing as many pics with something extra in them ( is that the spirit of aunt edna I see??) are taken day side.
Not to mention I've had my fair share of activity happen dayside.
So now I have the teens more or less convinced that they must do their ghost hunting night side.....which is driving me a tad nuts because then they spook themselves silly ( last night there was a lighted pathway including my son's room, the hallway AND the bathroom).
I'm trying to keep the 4 year old preoccupied with other activities so I don't have her getting spooked too ( and she can be a tad melodramatic about things which makes it kinda hard to figger whether she is truly upset or not).
At anyrate.....why can't we see some footage day side? Oh wait.....there WAS a program that apparently DID have some dayside footage ( I canna remember the name to the show but it DID come after Ghost Adventures last week). Some haunted asylum somewhere ( but of course). Apparently the dude bought the property not knowing schtick about it's history. So after he bought the dilapidated hospital he did a walk through with his home camera to see the extent of damage and what needs to be done etc. After viewing the tape at home he saw some spooky stuff on it and contacted peeps to investigate. Did we ( the viewers) get to see any of the day side spooky stuff? Why NO! Because professionals only do their investigations in the DARK. Why everyone knows THAT is when the TRULY spooky stuff happens right? So we ( my roomy and I ) waded through the bullzheet and tripe of the professionals boring ( and nervously done) investigation in hopes of seeing the GOOD footage......
So to keep this thread going ( and to start an interesting topic going).....
Have YOU any ghosty/deadhead/spirit experiences?
If so were they dayside or nightside for you?
