Oh yes a thread to enlighten AND to tick off at the same time.
Some people believe that those na attuned , have no right seeing the sacred symbols.
I believe in google. If I don't show you and tell you about it then you gonna find it somewhere anyways. Besides there is very little to be done with the symbols without the attunements (as far as I know) and it's not like they belong to anyone ( reiki is NOT some super duper elitist club and quite frankly it makes me angry when people act like it is).
So I'll briefly go over each symbol ( if you have been to a practitioner then you may have seen them moving their hands all funny like in the air....it's these things they are invoking, though each practitioner is different in how they invoke).
If you are interested in knowing more per symbol I'll be happy to give each symbol their own spot light. Like I said this is just a brief base toucher.
Cho-Ku-Rei
Oh look at that! It's all swirly!
Cho ku rei (cho koo ray) (long o in choh ) is the symbol to increase the power of Reiki . This energy calls in higher universal energy and accelerates Reiki from low to high and gives greater power and focus to the energy .Power boost is used with the other energies as well as by itself during all treatments hands on or distance. This energy has been used to clear rooms and crystals and to charge food and water. As a Buddhist term this refers to the nature and organization of reality and to the emergence of substance from the void of potential.
It means :
Put the Power here
God is here
Come from the Universe, strengthen the energy
Let Power be with me
Power of the Universe, come here now
Some uses for Cho-Ku-Rei :
1) Increasing Reiki power.
2) Sealing space.
3) Clearing a room/ vehicle/ train/ bus of negative energy along with white light.
4) Protecting.
5) Charging any other symbol.
6) Purifying food/water.
7) Visualizing any part of the body physically or mentally.
The mental emotional healing function sei he ki (say hay key) . The mental emotional function is used to facilitate emotional and mental healing and to assist self programming and treating addictions and habits as well as all other mental and emotional concerns, it is said to work on the subconscious. Some teachers use it on the first 4 chakras only and some use it on all positions The mental/emotional healing function helps to balance the right and left sides of the brain, and is often used for healing unwanted habits or for programming in desired habits.
It is ideal for emotional and mental healing and bringing about a balance between our logical and creative side of the brain to attain peace and harmony. When we change our thought patterns, our emotions also get healed
It is sometimes called the "Mental/Emotional Symbol", and is thought to enhance emotional psychological healing as well as a representation of the two lobes of the the brain .
Means:
"I am in Perfect Love and Harmony with the Heart of God,"
"God and man coming together."
Used for:
1) Emotional and mental healing.
2) Improving memory and grasping power.
3) Enhancing affirmative feelings and leave unwanted habits.
4) Improving marital relationships.
5) Removing negativity from chakras.
6) Calming the conscious mind.
7) Cleansing the subconscious mind.
8) Bringing balance in teenagers and children.
9) Aiding in instantly remembering a person's name, lost articles, telephone numbers, etc.
Yeah....say THAT three times fast............
Even better.....try invoking that by memory when in need. LOL! By the way this is not the original. It is a favorite variant used though ( and much easier in my opinion).
This means that the God in me greets the God in you to bring healing and enlightenment. This happens to be the most important symbol in sending distant Reiki to any person, past or future, and in building a bridge between the sender and receiver like an ether tube. This symbol is beyond time and space and therefore, it literally means "no past, no present, no future".
It means:
"I send this energy through all time and space."
"The (Godsource) in me greets the (God-source) in you, to promote enlightenment and peace."
"Namaste".
It is used for :
Sending distant Reiki to any part of the world to any object, person, or situation.
Sending it to future events like important meetings, functions etc., so that Relki energy will be available there to help.
Healing a past unpleasant event or trauma which you want to erase from memory
Healing any patient without physically touching the person.
It's used to send reiki long distance, however there has been a time or two when I forgot to invoke it and reiki seemed just dandy getting the idea what needed to be done.....
For some reason I always find this one a fun one to use. It just never seems to crop up as needing used often though .
Self empowerment, Intuition, Creativity , and Spiritual connection it enables recognition and clarity about your true path. Less is known about this most powerful of the Reiki energy functions because until quite recently there have been very few people empowered to use it so it is still somewhat unexplored . It activates a powerful energy for Self Empowerment it is used for opening Spiritual connection and intuition and cellular healing.
The Dai ku Myo is also known as the Master Symbol. This is the energy that the Reiki master activates to do the Attunements that make the Reiki energies permanently accessible to the new practitioner . The Dai Ku Myo is in Buddhist teaching the representation of unlimited potential and of all spiritual teachings and natural laws of the universe All of the functions which have been added to variations of Reiki are actually contained in the Dai Ku Myo.
It means :
I align myself with the energy of the Universe
It is used for:
It allows unlimited wisdom and power of God to manifest on physical plans.
2) It intensifies and focuses Reiki energy to firmly establish positive results.
3) It brings greater feeling of wholeness, fulfillment and completion.
Okay so there is a lil bit about each symbol.
Cho ku rei is use for the physical level.
Sei he ki is used for balancing emotional/mental levels
Hon sha ze sho nen is use mentally/inellectually in integrating ( sub/consciously) the others symbols healings as well as creating a place where time does not exist as we know it
Dai ko myo is a big spiritual booster and intensifier.
There are different levels to reiki in practicing and with those levels are access to the different symbols.
I hope this helped some. Feel free to ask if you have any questions or check out the reiki links in our links section.
