It starts off subtle. The wind changes from the hot breath of an inferno to a cool breeze you wished for on that hot summer day. Here and there the leaves start to turn as if little elves came and painted them in the night. Now the air is getting more crisp, the nights more cool and the days shorter. By the end of October the tree's are weeping with color and the ground is blanketed in vivid color.
You can almost feel the soil beneath your feet harden, preparing for the winter sleep. There is a smell in the air...it has no name but its familiar. Seasons always have that 'smell' that excites you for the anticipation of change.
People ask "Whats your favorite season?"
Well I like them all just fine but really? The beginning of spring and the beginning of fall; I love the anticipation of change.
Favorite part of spring?
The flowers I wish I could smell!
Favorite part of autumn?
PUMPKINS!!!!!! And all thing pumpkin flavored including beer. Noo Nooooo I don't have a mild (extreme) obsession with pumpkins and fall...and spooky things...and horror movie marathons, and Samhain...and leaf diving...and wassail.....
