Hey Folks
Right now I'm struggling with some of my chakras and I intend to be working with gems to try and re-open them. Any suggestions or help that you have to offer?
So what am I looking for?
Well - there are different "philosophies" regarding gems and chakras. Some say "simply chose a colour that matches the one of the chakra" others keep to lists that can be found in different variations throughout the whole internet.
My only "firm" connection is chalcedony (the one with white stripes!) for the throat-chakra.
Do you have philosophy? Or ideas what worked for you?

Well imo the whole "if the stone matches the chakra color then use it for that chakra" may be okay for an emergency fix, however it na really the route I would go. I like knowing what energies my stones have and what they work well with along with what color they are.
That is just me though.
What are you looking to do with your chakras? Clean em out, boost them, strengthen them?
My favortie book on crystal healing is by Katrina Raphael. I had trouble one time with my brow chakra stone - I believe it was malachite. I had used the stone many times, but one day it suddenly took to burning my brow so that I had to remove it. A few days later it broke in two pieces. I went in search of a new stone and have replaced it with one that is working fine. Stones can get overused, and they have a nature all thier own. It is always a good idea to get a personal feel for any stone you work with.
