Okay dokays.
So what is this "grounding" we hear some people mention? It is basically away of slowing down and connecting, truly connecting to ourselves, our environment and the moment at hand. When you are Grounded you are connected to the moment. The floor. The earth. This gives you a moment to Center. Centering is taking that moment to breathe and focus on YOU.
When you are Grounded you have a stable connection point that you are attached to, which is important whether you are taking a momentary breather, are meditating or are doing some sort of healing or spiritual work.
Being Centered is important because it means you are Focused. Being Focused is very important to any type of work you plan on doing ( whether it is a detailed list for your day or sitting down to connect with Divine energies).
For instance you wouldna go to a healer if s/he were focused not only on your aches and pains....but on their electric bill and winning lotto numbers too would you? If they are scattered like that then how helpful can they really be for you?
The question applies to you also. If your energies are scattered all over the place then how productive can you really be in your day?
And that is why Grounding and Centering is important.
So how to Ground?
One of the easiest ways to ground is to have a couple of stones that are meant to help you connect and stay put with Earth energies ( the best energies for Grounding....get it...Ground...Earth...? ha ha).
I'll make a seperate post for other grounding techniques so this does na become a novella of sorts.
So let's list some that are good for basic grounding ( and centering as the two usually walk hand in hand)
